CE meets US Congressional delegation led by Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee


Hong Kong (HKSAR) – The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting United States (US) Congressional delegation led by the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Ed Royce, at Government House this morning (February 22) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Mr Leung said that Hong Kong and the US enjoy close trade and economic ties. He welcomed more US companies to invest in the city. With Hong Kong’s close ties to the Mainland of China and its advantages as an international city, Mr Leung highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a super-connector in the China-US economic and trade relationship.

Mr Leung hoped that the two places would continue their frequent exchanges on all fronts to reinforce the bilateral relations.
