Explorer wants youths to walk in her footsteps

Hong Kong (HKSAR) – The first Hong Konger to explore the earth’s three extremes – the North and South Poles and the Mount Everest region – Rebecca Lee recognises climate change’s impacts and the urgent need to protect our environment.

After trekking to the far corners of the world for almost three decades, Ms Lee has amassed an impressive collection of specimens, photos and sketches that document her excursions. The interactive Museum of Climate Change at the Chinese University of Hong Kong provided a platform for Ms Lee to share her valuable artefacts and broadcast the conservation message.

She hopes it will encourage youths to walk in her footsteps.

A story featuring the explorer and the museum appears on news.gov.hk today (March 23) in both text and video format.
