The 32-year-old TV presenter on why she won’t rule out plastic surgery, dealing with dyslexia and overcoming her fear of ghosts
‘I’m useless at exercising, but I walk a lot and watch what I eat,’ said Holly Willoughby
How fit are you?
I’m 5ft 8in and a size 12 — I’ll always have curves. I’m useless at exercising, but I walk a lot and watch what I eat. I don’t know how people find the time to go to the gym six times a week. At school I was known as flat-chested Willoughby, so was delighted when I developed hips and boobs. I’m proud to have had two children [with husband Dan Baldwin] and my body reflects I’m a mum.
Eat well?
I love food. I’ll start with cereal or boiled eggs for breakfast, a salad or soup for lunch and spag bol or tuna and veg for dinner. When I was pregnant with Harry, now four, I craved Kraft cheese slices.
Had anything removed?
In September, I had laser treatment to remove nodules from my vocal cords. They’re common in people whose jobs require a lot of speaking, because this can make the tissue around the vocal cords thicker, and benign lumps can form. Some disappear naturally, but mine needed surgery. I had to be careful not to strain my voice in the weeks after, but — fingers crossed — it’s been a success.
Any vices?
Ready salted crisps, chip butties and Haagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream.
Worst illness?
I was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, so school was torture as I couldn’t keep up. Letters and numbers get jumbled for me on the page, and I sometimes struggle with spelling, but I’ve worked hard to overcome it.
On plastic surgery: ‘I know at some point I will have a little something done,’ said Holly
Cope well with pain?
I’m pretty hardy but when I was pregnant with Belle, who is now two, I started getting serious headaches, which developed into migraines. It turned out I was anaemic and was advised to eat more leafy greens, lean meat and dried fruit.
Would you have plastic surgery?
I’m happy with the way everything is, but I know at some point I will have a little something done. I wouldn’t, however, go to the extreme and end up looking like the Bride of Wildenstein. If people want it to make them feel better, good for them. But it can be addictive.
Tried alternative remedies?
I had reflexology throughout both my pregnancies — it made me less sluggish and more relaxed. After giving birth, I felt it helped alleviate my water retention.
Hangover cure?
With two children, I don’t drink often but swear by agave tequila. Agave is apparently a natural antihistamine so you don’t get that bloating or redness the next day and don’t feel hungover.
Sleep well?
My children wake me at dawn, and when you work as much as I do with late nights and early starts, sleep goes out the window. I go to bed as early as I can.
Any phobias?
Since I was a little girl I was afraid of ghosts until two years ago when I had coaching sessions. They involved schema conditioning psychotherapy, where your negative thoughts are challenged and replaced with rational, positive ones.
Like to live for ever?
No, but if I have a third baby, I’d love to scale back on work because family is really what matters to me.

She looks larger then a 12. If at 5’8 she is a 12 then she would look as slim as girl of 5’2 at a size 8. She could be a 14 or 16 by the looks of it. My goodness she rocks it!!

Reflect you’re a mum? I know plenty of women who aren’t mums who have similar bodies to you Holly and I don’t recall your body looking any different to when you weren’t a mum!
