Hospitals told to stop profiteering from parking

Norman Lamb, the health minister, said he was prepared to insert a clause in
the standard NHS contract to stop executives repeatedly hitting patients
with high parking fees.

“I want to stop profiteering at the expense of patients who are returning for
repeat visits,” he said.

It was “not acceptable” for hospitals to fail to inform patients of
concessions that are available on parking fees, the minister added.
