On the red carpet in Cannes, Diane Kruger, 40, wore a dress which revealed her toned back muscles. The Inglourious Basterds star has said she works out ‘a lot’, packing in cardio, weight-lifting, and a regular squats routine.
‘I kind of got into it,’ she has said. ‘Just the gym or hiking, maybe four to five times a week.’

What to try:
The ‘weighted one-point row’ works the back and core. Holding a dumbbell or bottle of water in each hand, balance on your left foot, bending forward at the hips and raising your right leg behind you, ideally until it is parallel to the floor. Your chest and leg should form a straight line.
Hold the weights below your shoulders with straight arms, then pull them up to your sides, squeezing your shoulder blades. Return to the start position and repeat 10-12 times. Switch legs and repeat. Do two to three sets, depending on fitness.
