But instead of dropping from a clouds, this charge comes from one huge sack, carried to a rooftop in downtown Riga, in Latvia progressing this year by a group of happy pranksters who call themselves “Kut” — a artistic collective. The “storm” took place on a singular travel on an differently amiable day.

An huge pouch cattail seeds was carried to a rooftop in downtown Riga, Latvia and dumped onto bustling streets below.

How’d they do it? That’s a cold part. Not distant from Riga there is a margin of cattails, those tall, skinny plants that can be found in or nearby marshes all over a world. In a late spring, we can collect a stalks, flay them, and you’ll find corn-cob like structures inside. The pollen-producing masculine partial is always on top; a seed-bearing womanlike partial below. If we fist a womanlike part, (in a gentlest probable way, of course) it will bloat and detonate into thousands, maybe tens of thousands of little, fluffy, ready-to-fly seeds — white as snow. It’s like creation a quadrillion babies with one squeeze. Take a look:

So this rope of crazies collected, pruned, warmed and squeezed a good apportion of cattails and incited Riga, ever so briefly, into a white wonderland. Afterwards, they expelled a statement. “Sometimes,” they said, “surprises only happen.”

Merry Christmas, everybody.

Thanks, once again, to Colossal, a website that facilities images and videos done by artists all over a world.
