We know that Mindy Kaling is hilarious, confident, and completely honest. So it shouldn’t surprise us that this morning on the TODAY show, the executive producer, writer, and star of The Mindy Project gave a shout out to the five celebs she’s crushing on.
When Matt Lauer suggested that Mindy has basically created a dating service for herself by casting attractive and funny guys as her boyfriends on the show, she totally agreed. Then he asked her if there were any guys she was attracted to that she would consider bringing on this coming season.
Her response: TODAY show co-anchor Willie Geist, Idris Elba, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and The Rock. All excellent choices.
We’ve got to hand it to Mindy—she sure knows how to stack the roster for potential love interests. Fingers crossed these guys all take the hint and agree to make appearances next season. But even if they don’t, we love that she just called out her crushes on national television without even batting an eye. It’s totally acceptable to make the first move—whether it’s confiding in Matt Lauer or giving a guy your number.
