Men should turn on their Playstation if they want to last longer in bed, new research shows.
Those who play games for an hour each day are less likely to ejaculate prematurely – which can be embarrassing for men.
However, it’s not because gamer’s possess superior skills when it comes to making love, Italian researchers said.
Instead, it is more likely because of their reduced desire, caring less about having a passionate night beneath the sheets than their.
Those who play games for an hour each day are less likely to ejaculate prematurely – which can be embarrassing for men, a study found
How was the study carried out?
Researchers at the Sapienza University of Rome quizzed 396 men who were aged between 18 and 50 for the study.
Lead author Andrea Sansone told PsyPost: ‘While video games are fun, an excessive use of them might actually have consequences on the most intimate aspects of their life.’
More than two thirds of the volunteers identified as being gamers. This was defined as resorting to the teenager’s favourite hobby for an hour each day.

GAMING MAKES YOU SMARTER
Parents often despair at the amount of time their children spend playing video games, but research earlier this week suggested it could be doing them more good than harm.
Playing games like Minecraft or Lara Croft can make students smarter, according to the University of Glasgow study.
This is because video games help young people develop good communication skills and mental versatility, the researchers claimed.
Gaming was found to teach students to be resourceful, and the study’s lead researcher suggests that video games have a role to play in the future of education.
What did they find?
Despite there being a clear gulf in difference between premature ejaculation in gamers and non-gamers, their function was roughly identical.
Writing in the journal, the researchers said: ‘We could suppose a relation between less interest toward sexual activities in men who mostly use video games and positive psychological effects on ejaculatory control.
‘It can be assumed that “video game stress” might lead to hyperprolactinemia, possibly resulting in loss of sex drive.’
They also pointed out that it could be due to how often they see high levels of dopamine – the pleasure hormone – from playing games.
‘This might cause tolerance in the ejaculatory reflex and a decreased interest in intercourse,’ the authors added.
Certain games could be worse
They even hinted that certain games could have more adverse effects on a man’s sex life than others.
Mr Sansone added: ‘Are all games equal? Is an hour of MiniMetro as stressful as a 60-minutes match of League of Legends?’
Figures suggest that more than one billion people play video games each year across the world, Medical Daily reports.
As well as the new findings, video games have previously been found to disrupt sleeping patterns and make users more violent.
