The State That Consumes the Most Fast Food Is…

Late-night French fry runs aren’t as anonymous as you might think: The budgeting app Level tracked the fast food-eating habits of 18- to 33-year-old users and determined that Oklahomans eat more fast-food than the millennials in any other state.

On average, residents of the Sooner state spend $1,194 on fast food per year, according to data from the app. Kansas came in next with $1,040 per person per year, followed by Texas at $978. On the other end of the spectrum, New York, Connecticut, and Vermont residents spent the least amount of money on fast food.

The app also looked at beer and coffee consumption, finding that the biggest coffee addicts are in Maine and people in Massachusetts spend the most on alcohol (although it’s worth noting that this may be attributable to the fact that liquor tends to be more expensive in certain areas).

If you’re a regular at the drive-thru, find out how to kick your fast-food habit (or at least find healthier fast-food options).
