Twitter user @Msixelaa, now known as #UberBae, shared the wild tale on March 27. @Msixelaa, who is keeping her full name private but goes by Bre, says she picked up a passenger at the airport who was in town for a romantic visit. The woman entered a destination Bre was familiar with—the apartment complex her own boyfriend lives in. Since the complex is pretty large, UberBae saw no reason to worry. The two made friendly conversation during the ride, and Bre provided water and let the passenger play her own music. As they got closer to their destination, the passenger started looking through her phone for the apartment number. Bre tweeted that her stomach “started to drop” after they entered the complex and approached “a familiar building” where she saw her boyfriend’s car outside. Her fears were confirmed when he came out of his apartment to meet the car… and all hell broke loose.
