Typhoon Kalmaegi situation report (3)


Hong Kong (HKSAR) – The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal at 10.30pm yesterday (September 15).

The 1823 Government Call Centre has received 44 reports of fallen trees as at 6am today (September 16).

According to the Hospital Authority, as at 6.30am, a total of 11 males and six females have sought medical treatment at public hospitals.

As at 6am, the Drainage Services Department received a total of four reports of flooding in Eastern District, Kwun Tong, North District and Islands District. No report of landslide has been received.

As at 5.30am, the Home Affairs Department has opened 25 temporary shelters in various districts, with a total of 170 people seeking refuge at the shelters.

The Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that as at 6am, a total of 249 arrival passenger flights and 276 departure passenger flights have been delayed, while 20 arrival passenger flights and 19 departure passenger flights were cancelled.
