VIDEO: Legacy of CT scanner scientist


The scientist who helped develop the CT scanner has been celebrated by the University of Nottingham 10 years after his death.

Sir Godfrey Hounsfield, from Nottinghamshire, received a knighthood for his pioneering work into X-ray computed tomography (CT).

The invention is now being used by scientists to study plants without disturbing them.
