Round, white and uncannily like an eyeball, this is the revolting moment Dr Pimple Popper drags a marble-sized cyst out of a man’s back.
The unidentified football player ended up lying in the Californian dermatologist’s chair because he has a grape-sized bump on his torso.
As Dr Pimple Popper cuts into it, a perfectly round white ball starts pops out of the surface.
She snips around the mass with scissors until she is able to pull it out the mass, which she dangles in front of the camera.
The video has been now viewed more than 950,000 times since it was uploaded to Dr Pimple Popper’s YouTube channel and Instagram account.
Dr Pimple Popper – whose real name is Dr Sandra Lee – begins by numbing the man’s lump with anaesthetic.
‘It’s normal to need more [anaesthetic],’ she tells the patient as she injects the numbing agent into his cyst. ‘It’s not a sign of weakness.’
‘Let’s see if we can get this out in one piece,’ she says, continuing to cut around the sides of the raised lump.

The more she cuts, the more of the perfectly round cyst emerges.
A gleaming ball looks as though the patient has an eyeball or a lychee lodged under his skin.
‘I’m just going to tease around and pull on you a bit. Then I can show it to you,’ she says.
Dr Pimple Popper pulls out the incredible spherical mass – which is still intact – and dangles it in front of the camera.
‘What do you call that, a little macademia nut?’ she says.
Examining the wound, she points to patches of white skin which she explains are scar tissue from the cyst.
After stitching up the man with extra strong sutures – as he is an athlete so they are more likely to split – the procedure is over.
She then turns her attention to the cyst itself – cutting it in two and watching a cheese-like paste ooze out.

Laying the blood-streaked ball on the table, she cuts into it and creamy fluid oozes out. She explains it is an epidermoid cyst, which is made from a bag called a sac filled with wet, dead skin cells
Writing underneath the video, Dr Pimple Popper explains it is an epidermoid cyst.
She said: ‘An epidermoid cyst is a benign growth commonly found in the skin.
‘It typically appears on the face, neck or trunk, but can occur anywhere on the body.
These cysts occur when the cells of the epidermis – the outer layer of the skin – reproduce too quickly and mount up.
This creates a sac – a bag – filled with fluid.
Dr Pimple Popper said: ‘The paste-like contents are mostly composed of macerated keratin (wet skin cells), which create this ‘cheesy’ consistency. There can also be a pungent odor.
She continued: ‘Epidermoid cysts may have no symptoms they are typically harmless.
‘Usually people seek removal because they don’t like the appearance of these bumps, or the cyst has ruptured or been inflamed or infected in the past.’
When a cyst ruptures, it becomes red, swollen, hot and can lead to an abscess forming, she added.
If the cyst becomes inflamed, that increases scar tissue in the area and sticks the growth more firmly to the skin around it, making it more difficult to remove.
These cysts are normally removed surgically, but it is important to remove the entire cyst sac and its inner contents otherwise it could grow back, she said.
