Withings now accepting pre-orders for Activité smartwatch

Pre-orders are now being accepted for the highly anticipated, chic wearable from French company Withings.

At $450, it’s possible that the Activité will be more expensive than the Apple Watch, which has been rumored to be priced at $349 for the Sport Edition, although other versions are likely to cost more.

Don’t be fooled by its analog face: The Withings Activité tracks every step you take and every move you make until you reach your goal.

It also tracks your sleep, depicting in-depth graphs of sleep patterns that help you optimize your sleep with all the right indicators.

Equipped with a silent alarm that wakes you up gently, confirming what time you set your alarm for is as easy as tapping twice on the face cover.

It’s water-resistant to 50m and a swim recognition feature is in the works for the end of the year; users who buy their watch before it’s ready will be given a free upgrade.

The watch doesn’t need charging and therefore requires no cable or dock, although a silicone strap is provided to use in lieu of the leather one when the watch is likely to get wet.

When traveling across time zones, the analog watch will automatically change thanks to its connection with your smartphone: Wheee!
