Celebs get a lot of perks, and us regular folk like to point out how lucky they are. But as this graphic shows, when it comes to body shaming, no woman is free and clear. “No one is immune,” says Alexis Conason, Psy.D., a psychologist in private practice in New York City. “We are judged if we do meet the ideal, and we are judged if we don’t.”

So, yeah, this is where we’re going to get all affirmative and motivational for a second: Let this graphic help you realize why it’s so important to not let all the noise get to you. “The solution is not to ignore or avoid body shaming [since that’s impossible] but to become as aware as possible so we can challenge the [negative] messages,” says Conason. “The goal is to reject messages of body shaming and work toward accepting yourself, just as you are, right now, at this current moment. Happiness and confidence does not come through trying to change our appearance. The path to happiness is not through weight loss or wrinkle-free skin. It is only through truly accepting ourselves that we allow space for happiness, confidence, and genuine satisfaction to occur.” To which we say: Amen to that.
