Christina El Moussa Says She and Tarek Are "In a Very Good Place" Post-Split

Flip or Flop‘s Christina and Tarek El Moussa have been going through a divorce in an extremely public way. But in two new interviews, Christina insists the two of them are doing their best to get along, for the sake of their kids.

“Tarek and I are in a very good place right now,” Christina told E! News. “We’re doing a really good job. We share the kids 50/50 and our communication is great. Like I said, the kids are happy, so everyone’s doing really well.”

“We’re actually getting along really, really well right now,” she added to Entertainment Tonight, saying they have achieved that by “letting go of past resentment, living in the future and remembering that kids are the priority.” What isn’t a priority, she told ET, is dating; she said “a relationship is the farthest thing from my mind right now.”

But she said that one thing has changed: the harsh glare of the media spotlight. “I don’t even think about it until sometimes I step out of my car and there’s paparazzi taking pictures of me,” she told E! News. “Honestly, it hasn’t really changed my life that much. Honestly – this may sound weird – I don’t even think about it at all. There are so many false stories, so I just let it slide.”

Christina also said that she and Tarek are still filming episodes of Flip or Flop, and that the two of them gave HGTV their blessing to expand the franchise to different cities. “Filming is amazing. We’ve had the same crew for a couple years on Flip or Flop, and we’re all best friends.” she told E! News. “And it’s just a really happy environment and we look forward to continuing more shows.”

She told ET that she doesn’t think that the spinoffs will affect the future of their show. “There’s a few things up in the air and some offers we’re working on so we’ll just see,” she said. The El Moussas’ contracts are up this year, so it’s still uncertain if we’ll see them working together going forward.
